A young family asked us to optimize the interior layout of a 100m2 apartment in a 1996 building in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
Their main concerns were the unification of the social areas, the lack of a second bathroom, and the general condition of the apartment materials.
Our strategy was to demolish the wall between the kitchen and the living room, to redesign the distribution hall in order to introduce a second bathroom, to design a new kitchen and to repair the existent wood floor.
In order to unify the new layout spaces there is a 2mt high surface made by doors, wardrobes and wood panels.
